WITH THE MUCH ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF HER ALBUM, HOME
AGAIN, BRITISH RECORDING ARTIST, ABIGAIL ZSIGA, LEAPS FROM TOP-TEN DANCE MUSIC
HITMAKER TO ELEGANT SINGER-SONGWRITER.
As a singer and songwriter, Abigail has made a name for herself on dance floors
around the world. With her new album, Home . . . again, she is very ready for
her pop close-up. Fans of Annie Lennox and Dido will find much to admire here.
Michael Paoletta, Billboard
Home again is the new album by British
singer/songwriter Abigail Zsiga. This is Abigail's first new release
since her break from the club scene and a string of Billboard dance hits, and is a whole
new sound for this consummate artist.
Three years in the making, Home again has all the qualities of an
Abigail classic - a singular, unmistakable voice; timeless stories of love and loss;
uncluttered yet richly textured arrangements all grounded with a hard-earned wisdom
and authority.
Home again is produced in part by Grammy-nominatedMattias
Gustafsson (Backstreet Boys) who also co-wrote 4 of the 11
tracks. We clicked immediately. He inspires me musically and then gives me space to
say what I need to. Zsiga herself racks up 3 production credits, one for her moving
piano rendition of her biggest club anthem Let The Joy Rise. The remaining
songs are brought to life by Austrian-born writer/producer Michael Patzig
who co-wrote 2 of the tracks, including the enigmatic and captivating 90
Miles.
From its first refrain, Home again delivers a breathtaking journey
that surveys a wide range of emotions and experiences. The hauntingly beautiful
Songbird was written at a time of deep personal turmoil, while the title track
of the album is a touching tribute to her grandfather penned shortly after his death.
Abigail admits that most of her songs are the result quiet observation. They are about
people she meets and sees around her. Im not very good at laying my own soul
bare, she says, .but no-one else is safe.
The first single, Better With You is scheduled for release to national radio
on October 17th. A late addition to Home again, Better With
You was a first-time collaboration with New York music journalist and songwriter,
Dimitri Ehrlich who also wrote Mobys latest single, Where You End.
Abigail Zsigas distinctive voice is smoky and sensual, with incredible
character and control. Her songs reveal more of themselves with every listen. This is an
album that will be in your player for a very long time.
